Terms of Service

These terms apply to everyone who uses the Leatherly's website and to every order placed with us. By browsing the site or buying from us, you accept them. Please read them before you order.

1. Using this website

•      You must be 18 or older to place an order

•      You may not use our site or our products for anything unlawful

•      Our photos, product descriptions and designs belong to us. Please do not copy, resell or reuse them without our written permission

•      You may not upload harmful code or try to interfere with the running of the site

•      We may refuse or stop service to anyone where we have good reason to

2. Our products

•      We make bags only. Handbags, laptop bags, travel bags, toiletry bags and similar leather goods. We do not sell shoes, clothing or anything outside of this range

•      Everything is handmade to order. Your bag is cut, stitched and finished by hand once your payment reflects

•      Real leather is not uniform. Small differences in grain, shade, natural marks and stretch are part of genuine full grain leather. They are not faults

•      Colours on a screen are a guide. We photograph as accurately as we can, but screens differ and the leather may look slightly different in person

•      We may add, change or stop making any product at any time

3. Orders, payment and lead time

•      We only start with your order after payment is received. No leather is cut before then

•      Please allow 2 to 4 weeks from the day your payment reflects until your bag is delivered. This covers the making, the finishing and the courier

•      Once we have started making your bag, the order cannot be cancelled or changed

•      We may turn down an order, for example where a price was shown incorrectly, where we cannot source the leather, or where an order appears to be from a reseller. If we do, we refund you in full

4. Prices and information on the site

•      Prices may change without notice

•      We do our best to keep everything correct, but a price, description or delivery time may sometimes be wrong. We may correct it, and we may cancel an affected order even after you have placed it. You will be refunded in full if we do

•      We are not obliged to keep older information on the site up to date

5. Personalisation

•      We do offer personalisation, but what is possible depends on the type of personalisation you want, the item itself and the leather it is made from

•      Please ask us before you pay if you are unsure. We will tell you what can be done and what it costs

•      We decide on the placement, because some positions weaken or mark the leather

•      Personalised bags cannot be returned, exchanged or refunded. Please double check your spelling and detail before you confirm

6. Links to other websites

•      Our site may link to websites we have nothing to do with

•      We do not check or stand behind their content, products or services

•      Any dealings you have with them are between you and them

7. Comments, photos and ideas you send us

•      If you send us reviews, photos, ideas or suggestions, we may use, edit or share them without payment to you

•      We are not obliged to keep them confidential or to reply to them

•      You stay responsible for what you send. Please do not send anything unlawful, abusive or belonging to someone else

•      We may remove anything we consider offensive or out of line

8. What we are not responsible for

•      We cannot guarantee that the website will always be available, uninterrupted or free of errors

•      We are not liable for damage caused by misuse, neglect or normal wear and tear

•      Where the law allows, our responsibility to you is limited to the amount you paid for the item in question

•      Nothing in these terms takes away any rights you have under the Consumer Protection Act

9. General

•      If any part of these terms is found to be invalid, the rest still stands

•      These terms are governed by the laws of South Africa

•      We may update these terms at any time by posting the new version on this page

•      These terms, together with our Privacy Policy and Returns Policy, make up the full agreement between us
